A commoner with Highest dignity

A common man of high will power who changed the life of all other common men faces corruption at every stage of life, who saw corruption as a leech gradually engulf the entire country, who dreamt of a country free from corruption and magnificently brought life with blend of hope and bated breath is none other than the Arvind Kejriwal.

Why did I call him a common man is not because he is a commoner. He could have easily enjoyed a very luxurious life. After all he was an officer with IRS(Indian Revenue Services. A d grade clerk in IRS normally earns crores by just doing some extra work. Extra work is not overtime always, here in this case extra work means hiding few files, we all know why because. Bribe- Yes. So, he is a commoner because he understands the common yet significant problem of our country. I could recall a very interesting story of the area where he puts up. He lives in Kaushambi [part of National Capital Region].  Kaushambi’s residents, some 4000 families, pay Rs1.3 crore as house tax but have absolutely no say in deciding matters. He realized that the condition of the services was very bad. Under RTI(http://rti.gov.in/), He asked the authorities why the road in front of his house was completely broken? There was no real road there. In his RTI application he also asked, ‘How much money has been spent on Kaushambi in the last two years?’ The answer He got is worth sharing. They said they spent `42 lakhs to repair the road right in front of  his house. But there was no road in front of his house. So that means government has spent 42 Lakh rupees just to repair a road which was never constructed.

Earlier, I thought corruption was a problem and corruption is to be solved but now i feel that corruption is actually the symptom. The real disease is in the lack of complete political empowerment of the people. People are politically disempowered. They have absolutely no say. Let's get united and cognizant to know what's happening. Otherwise all the efforts of Kiran Bedi, Ana and Kejriwal will have no existence. Because only a few brainy people cant get us which is expected to change life's of billions people.

Jai Hind.
